Rave Magazine | 1964

Britain's popular youth culture publication ran from 1964 to 1969 under the George Newness Limited group, named for Strand Magazine founder George Newness (1851-1910). The publishing empire held a number of titles including, Woman's Own (their big seller), Modern Woman, Flair, Tit-Bits and Pop Pics. The company also acquired New Musical Express.

However it wasn't all geared toward the burgeoning teen market, as Newnes Ltd kept more mature readers busy with publications such as Country Life, Amateur Gardening and Yachting Monthly.
